Based in Perth's Northbridge Chinatown precinct, Jimmy Tsui's Kung Fu School (七星螳螂拳崔永成龍獅團) practises the Seven Star Praying Mantis style of Northern Chinese kung fu and the associated Northern lion dance tradition. The school is one of the few Perth troupes performing Northern lion dance — most others perform the more common Southern style. It is a small, community-based school with a long lineage in the Praying Mantis tradition, and has performed at Perth cultural events including the Chung Wah Cultural Festival.
