A non-profit Vietnamese-Australian Buddhist Youth Organisation based in Girrawheen, the GDPT Chanh Tin Lion Dance Troupe performs traditional lion dance rooted in Vietnamese Buddhist community traditions. Affiliated with the Chanh Tin and Chanh Tue Buddhist organisations, the troupe is active at Vietnamese Tet and Chinese New Year celebrations across Perth and regional WA, often performing alongside firecrackers and traditional drumming. The troupe operates on a bookings-by-messenger model and represents an important pillar of Vietnamese-Australian cultural identity in Western Australia.
