CCC Lion Dance Troupe (Chinese Community Centre)

Established in Perth in 1978 as part of the not-for-profit Chinese Community Centre, the CCC Lion Dance Troupe is one of Perth's oldest lion dance groups. The troupe is distinctive for its open membership policy — members come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and a wide range of martial arts disciplines including MMA, Kung Fu, BJJ, Tae Kwon Do, and Muay Thai, with some members also holding fitness qualifications. The CCC holds a WA Government Pyrotechnics Operators Licence, enabling traditional firecracker performances alongside the lion dance. The troupe's stated goal is to share and promote Chinese culture through the unique expressive style of lion dance.
